Last words.

This blog will soon come to an end, like all good things. But is it the end of ZOOM4YOU? Hell no. We are currently going through a little bit of a rebranding. A little bit of a reshaping and remoulding...all for you. All will be revealed in due time... in the mean time... follow ZOOM4YOU on twitter where we explain all...or most.
The next coming weeks will be no joke.

INSPIRE ME ALWAYS X CHANNIN SMITH X ZOOM4YOU

This one is a little bit of a gem. A year or two ago, my wonderful cousin Natasha Ramsay approached me with an interesting concept. Her goal was to create a current, visually stunning Christian journal that could be sold through her growing company ‘Inspire Me Always’. I was like ‘BOO-YAH’. So we had a go. The visuals by me. Poem's done by Channin Smith. It’s weird looking at the project now because we produced this when I was first starting ‘ZOOM4YOU’. So when I look at this project, I could only remember me trying to balance this project with college coursework. Funtimes. If this project interests you and you would like to get a copy, email me at zoom@zoom4you.co.uk and we can talk. Speak soonish! ZoOm

SHERRYL BLU X ANDRE ZOOM

This is something I designed whilst I procrastinating on the job; tut tut. But so it goes... Read more books. Write more books. Buy my books.

ZOOM IN CANADA

While I was in Montreal, I did a little talk for a great inspiration and friend Justin Kingsley. He is the Vice president of Jimmy Lee (SID LEE’s sister PR company) – nice right? The talk we recorded got showcased in Toronto at the Young Influencers Conference. So technically, I’m an international speaker? Have a look!

ZOOM IN THE METRO

In Retrospect… You guys know about the Take The Stage campaign I was involved in right? Yeah, around that time, I opened the Metro on one bright Monday morning to find my name in the thing! It’s a massive achievement for me, I must say. They got my age wrong, but that’s okay. I mean, sorry to sound so depressing and dark but I’m happy I made it onto the papers without having to kill anybody. Newspaper coverage without a criminal record is hard to get nowdays. Thankyou Adidas. Thankyou Metro. I hope the good young people do will continue to be recognised in our press…hoorah!

ADIDAS X ANDRE ZOOM - BILLBOARDS GALORE!!!

I don’t know If I am ever going to be on a billboard again, so forgive me if this gets over-emotional. I’ve only been calling myself ZoOm for two and a half years now… and already it’s come to this! God is good eh? There was many a time when I was first starting out, I was trying to follow the crowd, and getting no attention at the end of it all. Nothing really started to spark until I got tired and started creating what I wanted to create. Now I have a name alongside one of the biggest brands in the world. Top-class stuff. These billboards are long gone now, but my cousin and me went around North West London to take pictures of every poster we could find. It’s only when I did this trip when I relised how special this moment is. What is even more crzy is the posters that are over in North Wembley.

Here is the building which used to be called ‘grandmas house’. This is where I wrote my first comic book. This is where I had my fondest memories. This is also the place where I wrote ‘MAD AS HELL’, the last project I made before I walked out of grandmas house, never being able to go back in again. Down the road from that house is where my grandfather, a patriot and defender of the Christian faith was tragically killed in a car accident. Just next to the spot where he died, is a bus shelter. A bus shelter that had my name on it.

My grandmother passed away, my grandfather passed away, but I live on. It’s a weird triangle. And I know to some of you this may seem like an overly-dramatic sob story, but I don’t know, I felt that particular poster in North Wembley was very significant, I just felt to share with you.

But yes, happy days overall. If this can be achieved in two and a half years then my life is truly a hypeness. Got to work harder, be better, reach higher. Onwards and upwards yeah?

In a bit..

Dazed & Confused x Andre ZoOm

Yeah boy! I’m over the moon, I really am. Featured in the July issue of Dazed & Confused? Like I said before, hard work pays off! I consider success to be a series of doors you have to knock down, being in Dazed & Confused just confirms to me that I have knocked down my first door. The fact that Ghostpoet  is the one who introduces me in the article...it's even more hype. Andre ZoOm is here…hyper-activism is alive! I must give shouts to Kieran Yates, she’s had my back from day…she’s practically my official journalist…If I could call her that. Luke Casey did the photography… he’s pretty legendary too. On the day of the shoot, it was fun walking around my area just talking and taking a bunch of pics… Celebrity status eh? (Calm down Andre) I find it funny that out of all the serious pictures we took…the happy go lucky smile is always chosen… I aint complaining…

Keep it locked... I got quite a lot of things I need to post this week and the next..

Onwards and Upwards yeah?
Kingdom.

ANDRE ZOOM X ADIDAS 'TAKE THE STAGE' CAMPAIGN

Well, this is a bit of a madness isn't it? It's hype to know that exactly a year after writing 'MAD AS HELL' (a book about my frustration of not being respected as an artist), I'm now one of the thirty two that's featured in the new Adidas campaign. It's a blessing for sure. For those who did not know, I was gone off to Canada at the beginning of 2012 for an internship in SID LEE, one of the biggest advertising agencies in the world! For those that knew I was away, probably did not know it was all a present form Adidas, bless them. I must say that it caused a major shift in how I saw the world, it's much easier to conquer than I thought haha. It's real humbling to be apart of this project with so many amazing people...
Anyway, ignore the babling, here is the video:

Marvellously edited no? Thankyou Adidas.
LOL oh yeah...
The campaign was launched with an advert with Wretch32 and Example and some of the most inspirational kids you'll ever know. I never thought that I was in the ad, but I'll be, I am...

Fair enough, it's the back of my head, but is it not the most beautiful display of a man's bean you have ever seen? Be honest.

This is just the tip of the iceberg too, there's more to come. If you look closely, a clue is given somewhere in my video. The first one that guesses what I'm talking about correctly get's a free ZoOm book of your choice, nice. I just want to give a major 'I LOVE YOU' to Ruby Psuedo (The crew and the person)... SID LEE (I miss you guys, I miss Five Guys too) and everyone that has been sharing this video, putting it on your blogs, asking for interviews and stuff. I love it.
Large up the Project 32 team too, London is ours baby!
Onwards and upwards yeah?

GET ZOOM4YOU BOOKS HERE

Alright Alright. Before this moment, I was going from person to person, giving out these books by hand. I loved that, that's why I didn't make it availible for online purchase. Latley I've found myself shipping books to wales and ireland and france...so yeah...that 'going from person to person' thing is becoming a myth now. But I reckon that's a good thing. Here's the online hub to grab hold of all of my books so far. All in the name of the renaissance. Enjoy.

HAPPY HYPENESS (ULTRA'S ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY)

It started off with this

This year has been a testimony to say Hypeness Projects can change your life. It was only a year when I was in West Thames College studying a Art & Design Foundation Degree. I told friends that I was going to write a book in 12 days…not a lot of my people believed it would happen. Eight days later, I finished my first book. A month later, I released ULTRA, my first Hypeness Project.
Not confident if it would sell or not, I told everyone in my college that the first 10 buyers would get a free Krispy Kreme. I broke even on the first day. West Thames even done a blog about me (click here).

I've said it once and I will say it again: everyman should have at least one book written. It changes your way of thinking. Since December 3rd 2010 I released that projects do not need to be long an drawn out. I'm 19 and have written 4 books. This is not to boast, but to say you can do whatever you want and no-one can stop you doing so.

After ULTRA, I got addicted to creating publications. In March 2011, I collaborated with 'Inspire Me Always' to create a Christian journal called 'B'. In April, I released a book that came with a screenprinted T-shirt named 'MAD AS HELL'. In May I released a christian children's book called 'THE BAKEHOUSE'. In August, I art directed my first issue of LIVE magazine. In September, LIVE collaborated with The Guardian to create a spin off magazine called 'DEADLINE'. In November, LIVE released their first national issue (where I was in charge of the redesign). In that same month, I released my fourth and latest book 'MANIFESTO' - which is a declaration of what 'Hypeness' is all about.

The moral of the story is, Hypeness Projects work.

I suppose looking at this book just reminds me that this year has been an amazing one, and this is just the warm up. I want to say thankyou to everyone who has shown love throughout this past year. I would be nothing if I wasn't giving some help along the way. Everyone who tweeted about my projects, blogged them, helped edit the books, gave me advice and whats cool and what's not….thankyou. Let's go IN for 2012 yeah?

But yeah…a year of Hypeness….I like this.
*Feeling for a Krispy Kreme*

NOV25th CHANGED EVERYTHING: MANIFESTO

Wow. Last Friday was the one. What can I say? I self-published my fourth book in the Penguin Headquarters.... it was definitely a night to remember. Some laughs. Some tears (I wasn't crying though). November 25th is most probably the most significant date in the ZOOM4YOU journey so far. All I can really say is hard work pays off. Once you got your mind on something no-one can stop you. Trust. A big thankyou for everyone who sent in thier tweets, facebook messages, phonecalls, BB Pings...everything. It was so humbling to know that alot of people got the idea of what 'Hyper-activism' is. 'MANIFESTO' isn't just a book, it's a movement... so if you feel I'm being too quiet about it EVEN after it's launch, don't worry. The year of the Hyper-Activist is soon approaching.

Pictures of the launch soon come.

THE BAKEHOUSE: A Tale By Andre 'ZoOm' Anderson

Yeh, I know it's a very long time. I actually done this book in May but never presented it on the world wide web. I thought it would make sense to upload this before 'MANIFESTO' comes out next week. 'THE BAKEHOUSE' is the christian children's book I wanted to read as a child. Christian children's books are usually corny and always seem outdated...I tried to tackle that problem head on. The story is about the prayers of two children two children (one being in London and one being a war-child in Uganda). It's called 'THE BAKEHOUSE' because of the play on words 'give us this day our daily bread'. The entire book is a dialogue of the two prayers.... we see how they differentiate but are also similar. This was done the same time as the 'MAD AS HELL' project... so notice the struggle between me being as 'MAD AS HELL' and me being in a more prayerful mood....I consider the books to be one in the same.

BIG CHURCH DAY OUT PREP: 'THE BAKEHOUSE' FIRST GLIMPSE

TeamJESUS polo. Check. Remaining copies of ULTRA. Check. New Batch of B notebooks. Check. Freshly baked 'BAKEHOUSE' books. Yup....good to go. ZOOM4YOU, Inspire me always and Team J are gonna be down at the BIG CHURCH DAY OUT tomorrow...gonna be quite epic for various reasons. One of them being that this would be the first time I would be selling 'THE BAKEHOUSE' so I am interested to see what the reaction is going to be like. The other reason is because you can already tell that tomorrow is going to be a memorable day. Team Jesus trips never fail, I mentioned this in a previous post. Whats crazy is the fact that I gave you guys a sneak peek of the 'B' notebook a while ago.....never really told you guys what it is about....but yet found myself ordering another batch because the baby sold out majorly fast. Lovley.

I will tell you how the event goes...
Stay tuned...because I still  have something exciting to show you guys...

NEW RELEASE: THE BAKEHOUSE

The Art Of Ghosting. I must say that being creative and continually developing tales hidden in my imagination has now become a compulsive obsession, a habit I refuse to shake off. So since my last broadcast, I have cunningly snuck away into my castle and have created another project for you, my pretties.
This one is a storybook. It's called 'The Bakehouse'.
A twist to the part in the Lord's Prayer that says 'give us this day our daily bread'
The book is near completion...The book is nearly done.
Now I shall return to the dungeon....muwahahahahahaha *slowly walks backwards into the thick mist*
But on a serious note, when I drop this, it's most likely going to be in limited number so send an email if you are interested:
zoom@zoom4you.co.uk
I will be updating you guys on my progress, because I've been neglecting you....again....just don't call Jeremy Kyle on me.
